Les photographies proposées par Samuel dans Jazz On My Mind ont été réalisées entre 1998 et 2020. Ses images en révèlent autant sur les musiciens que sur la façon dont le photographe les voit : comme héros du moment, leur intimité, des instants de créativité et leur complicité avec l’audience. Cette musique née aux Etats-Unis, qui désormais appartient au monde, ne possède ni drapeaux, ni passeports, ni frontières.
The photographs comprising Jazz On My Mind were shot by Samuel between 1998 and 2020. The photos reveal as much about the musicians as they do about how Samuel sees them: as heroes of the moment, their moment, making music and connecting with their audience. This music was born in America, but it now belongs to the world. there are no flags or passports or borders.
