AVANT PROPOS DE L’ARTISTE : La beauté pourrait t’­elle contribuer à faire entendre les voix de nos scientifiques du GIEC qui nous alertent sur le changement climatique ? Une montagne, nos montagnes, du Mont Fuji au Mont Blanc, du Kilimandjaro à l’Everest et leurs neiges éternelles comme symboles, évidences. Des points de repères immuables depuis l’origine de la vie sur Terre, des points de repères marqués par nos empreintes silencieuses… En appuyant plus ou moins avec ma main, mon bras  ou tout mon corps, en posant sur une matrice mon empreinte de manière brutale ou en effleurant juste la feuille, l’encre se dépose massivement ou n’adhère même pas. Dans la continuité de mes recherches sur l’empreinte écologique de l’humanité, j’ai eu envie de rendre hommage à nos montagnes, ces montagnes sacrées où les neiges,  neiges éternelles sont en danger et qu’ils nous incombent peut être de sauvegarder.

SUR L’ARTISTE : Maud LC* est une artiste singulière naviguant entre poésie, arts plastiques et design. Les enjeux climatiques et sociétaux sont les thèmes majeurs de sa recherche. Son approche militante est issue d‘un questionnement personnel : « Comment réconcilier l’inconciliable ? L’organisé et le chaos, le je et le nous, l‘inerte et le vivant... Passionnée d’astrophysique comme de philosophie, aimant s’immerger dans l’économie ou la biologie, elle développe des œuvres classiques (sculpture, gravure, photographie etc.) mais aussi une pratique interactive et citoyenne, les protocoles (recherche + action) telle que sa dernière exploration de l‘anthropocène JEMONDE.

Can beauty contribute to the voice of our IPCC scientists who alert us to climate change? A mountain, our mountains, from Mount Fuji to Mount Blanc, from Kilimanjaro to Everest and their eternal snows are like symbols, evidence. Immutable points of reference since the origin of life on Earth, landmarks marked by our silent footprints … By pressing more or less with my hand, my arm or my whole body, by placing my imprint on a matrix in a brutal way or just touching the sheet, the ink settles into the paper in varying degrees or does not adhere at all. As a continuation of my research on the ecological footprint of humanity, I wanted to pay tribute to our mountains, these sacred mountains where snow, everlasting snows, are in danger and which we may have to protect.

Maud LC * is a singular artist who navigates between poetry, visual arts and design. Climate and societal issues are the major themes of her research. Her militant approach comes from a personal questioning: « How to reconcile the irreconcilable? The organised and chaos, the I and the us, the inert and the living … Just as passionate about astrophysics as philosophy, Maud LC loves immersing herself in economics or biology. She develops classical works (sculpture, engraving, photography, etc.) but also an interactive and citizen-based practice, protocols (research + action) such as her last exploration of the anthropocene, JEMONDE.
